Elderberry Syrup + a printable!

We have been giving the girls Mary Ruth’s Elderberry Syrup for a while now but I remembered how easy it is to make so I got to work over the weekend and made a big batch! Seriously the easiest thing ever and I just don’t know why I even started ordering it on Amazon.

I made this for the first time in 2019!

I got a few questions about it efficacy and uses on IG (@Emma.Prentiss) and since I’m not a medical professional I deferred to this post that has some good info. As always, you do what feels good for you. We’ll be taking homemade elderberry.

I got little fancy this time and added Wolfberries to the recipe (it actually helped it taste better!) and made a batch specifically for Paige using agave. Local to you honey would be best but I used what I had on hand! I combined info from two places to find a recipe that works for us- Annie Hauser Blog + Science of Essentials on Instagram (she includes the science + efficacy if you’re curious!) I take 1 tsp a day + the girls take 1/2 tsp. If anyone is sick we increase that amount.
