We celebrated Joe’s 36th Birthday at the beginning of June and it was such a nice weekend together. He asked for one thing, Apple AirPods so I took that idea and ran with it. I wanted to spend the week prior to his birthday doing sweet things for him just to make him feel special.
The lineup included-
Mowing the lawn for him. Acts of service are his jam. A love note + homemade card from Harper. A water gun fight. A basket of a few favorites. Beer in the fridge when he got home from work on Friday. Dairy Queen (I planned this on a night when I was working so I didn’t have to deal with the torture of watching him eat it #Whole30problems).
We spent his actual birthday at Turtle Back Zoo with a picnic lunch. It was the most beautiful day. We ended the day with dinner at Ava’s Kitchen in Kenilworth and a bunch of his friends met us there for drinks! Surprise, babe! It was such a good day/night and we spent Sunday exactly where we love to be. Cuddled on the couch watching movies together.
