Summer is officially upon us and the temps DO NOT lie. We had such a nice weekend and felt like we ticked so many things off our summer bucket list already (sharing that this week!).
I bartend every Friday night at a local craft beer place so that summed up my Friday. Not my favorite way to spend it but I’m surrounded by good company while I’m there so there are worse things in life. I’m so thankful to have that job, that’s for sure.
Saturday came complete with a slow start to the day, just like we like it! We had plans for a little BBQ at a friends house so I made our favorite side dish, Mac n Cheese (recipe by Jessica Garvin of Garvin+Co.), and a few other things.
Harper spent the afternoon playing with their kids and the adults ate + sipped, sipped + ate. They have a kegerator, which was awesome, and now we’re seriously considering buying one . Wouldn’t that be the best party staple!? We could have Pumpkin beer on tap ALL Autumn!
Sunday was a get-stuff-done kind of day. We tackled reorganizing the garage (probably one of my favorite things to do, admittedly), crushed the laundry pile + set up the sprinkler. The afternoon was HOT so we grabbed our super soakers for a cool down. Dinner on the porch, music blasting + a fire pit with s’mores rounded out the weekend. Oh, those summer night.
If every weekend is THIS good I can imagine that we’re going to have the best summer, ever. I just need to remember to take more pictures!
Joe is off to Las Vegas on Wednesday for a few days so it’s GIRLS WEEK! Harper and I are making a list of all the fun things we want to do while Joe is away and I’ll be sure to share how we’re staying occupied!
