Our weekend!

I hope you guys had a great weekend celebrating the father’s in your lives! We definitely made the most of the time together and had a yummy breakfast, lunch, + dinner all made with love.

We had French Toast Bake for breakfast, Wings with homemade wing sauce for lunch + ran out of propane for dinner. Ha! But I made it work and we had a nice dinner. Audrey had a FUSSY day yesterday and Harper was in rare form because she is ALWAYS looking for someone to play with her. But Joe managed to sleep in (he Uber’s on the weekends so this is pretty necessary) and I didn’t die of sleep exhaustion despite Audrey just having a rough few nights of sleep in a row.

Monday’s are oddly my favorite day of the week. I feel like I have a clean slate, all the motivation, and to do list that seems completely practical. By Wednesday the wheels will begin to fall off of that bus and I’ll let my expectations drop down quite a bit. BY Friday I’m just counting down the minutes until Joe gets home and praying he brings wine. LOL anyone else?

I’ve spent most of the morning looking for light fixtures for the kitchen and playroom. So far this is what I picked for the playroom- I’ll share more of that space soon! It’s finally coming together but has for sure been a dumping ground since we moved in, back in April.

We did get a few things hung up around the house- an old wooden 6-pane window in the hallway, our chalkboard in the breakfast nook, and some vintage mirrors in our bedroom. Every time we get something else done it 1. makes the house feel more like ours and 2. makes me feel like we should have done it weeks ago!

Here is what I was thinking for the Breakfast nook and some ideas for the hallway light fixtures.

As you can tell I love the farmhouse/schoolhouse style. So thats what I’m looking for. Thank goodness for Pinterest!

Speaking of! I’m off to defrost Salmon before I forget and we get to have have to have take out for dinner. I found this recipe the other day and have been dying to try it! Gimme a sheet pan dinner any night of the week and I’m a happy camper!

What’s for dinner in your house!?

Thanks for reading! So grateful for you! xx, Em
