Year Seven.

Seven years. Joe and I got married on a HOT July day in 2012 the day before Independence Day. My dad + brother walked me down the aisle. Joe and I danced to Stand By Me by Ben E. King. And we had the most magical evening with 115 of our closest friends and family. We spent a few days after the wedding visiting with family who had traveled to NJ for the wedding and then we flew off to Riviera Maya, Mexico for a week. It was the quietest, most serene resort and we just loved it there.

I’m pretty sure this is a picture of a picture. Only the highest quality images here, folks.

Our wedding day was easily one of the best days of my life but really one of the quickest. It felt like I couldn’t slow time down enough. I’m so glad we took a few moments throughout the day to just stop and look around. Breathe it all in. Those times are etched in my memory even though so much of it is a blur.

One day I’ll share the planning process on here. It was such a labor of love as I DIY’d so much of it. Wanting my hands on as much as I could handle. It would be as intense to relive it as it would be to write it but it’s definitely a thought!

This year we’ve had to reschedule our date night to celebrate because of Joe’s back injury. But we still wrote each other sweet little notes, as we always do, and made sure to spend extra time holding hands + being grateful for each other.

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July! Ill share our low-key holiday + my favorite margarita recipe on the blog tomorrow!

Thanks for reading. Xx
