Dinner Favorites: Whole30 Edition

Whole30 feels like a distant memory at this point but I am really working hard not to fall too far off from where I was. Putting weight back on after loosing a bit is way too easy. So, I wanted to share with you guys some of the meals that I turned to and really enjoyed!

So before I go back to eating like a heathen let me document all of the healthy things I ate for 30days. I’m going to tag a bunch of my go-to recipes below!

This Zucchini Pasta was a life saver a few times when I needed a quick dinner on the fly. I even subbed out the zoodles for cauliflower rice when I was all zoodled-out.

Fajita bowls are something we love before Whole30 so this was a easy swap. Skipping the cheese was hard but I added the Primal Kitchen Ranch and it made everything better. If you’re anti-seafood you can easily switch out for chicken, steak or go heavy on the veggies!

Quiche is a great make ahead meal that we ate for breakfast a few days and I had it for dinner one night when I wasn’t outnumbered by those wanting delivery pizza. Sweet potato crust is easy and delicious!

On the top of the list of things I am for sure going to keep making are these Meatless Buffalo Burgers. The recipe made 6 and I kept them in the freezer for the easiest lunches and quick dinners. Add a lettuce bun, avo, tomatoes and Ranch for the full effect!

We definitely ate a few more things than these 4 ideas so if you want a full run down just head over to my Pinterest! I made a board dedicated to Whole30 recipes!

A few good habits that I picked up are drinking more water. I have been HORRENDOUS about drinking enough water in the last few years. A 20oz Yeti tumbler was on my birthday wishlist and it is life changing! Okay, maybe thats a little dramatic but I do mean it. I keep this thing with me all day and drink a lot more water than I used to. Reasons why? It’s always cold, the tumbler doesn’t sweat (how annoying are those rings of water a glass leaves behind?!) and you can buy the lid with the straw. AND AND this thing is heavy duty but not heavy, so it ticks all the boxes for me.

Prep work. You literally can not skip the prep work when it comes to doing Whole30. I have been meal planning for a few years now and swear by it- but Whole30 has brought it up to a new level of prep. Every ingredient, every meal, every snack was decided before I started. Did I stick to it 100%? No, but it was a life saver when 4pm rolled around and I was hunngrrryyyy.

And finally! Going to bed earlier. The later I stayed up the more I wanted to snack on sweets and have a glass of wine. So I swapped late nights for earlier mornings and I feel like that help curb those cravings for me. Moving forward I’m working on doing Intermittent Fasting. If anyone is curious or cares I could share about how that’s going eventually. Letmeknow.

Have you done Whole30 before?! Leave your best tips below and I’ll update this post as I see them!

xoxo
