Life Lately

If you’re following along on Instagram you already know that we recently bought a new house! A 90s builder grade, super vanilla, formica countertops type-home. So in between bottles, playing with baby dolls + going for walks- we’re renovating this new home!

Let’s use the word “renovating” VERY lightly because we’re doing cosmetic changes only. Nothing structural or major. Just some paint, flooring upgrades and minor changes to the builder grade finishes. 

That alone could keep us busy for the foreseeable future so if you’re interested I’ll keep updating our progress! 

So what have we done so far?

We’ve replaced the carpet in the girls rooms, painted the living room, kitchen + hallway, removed some cabinets in the kitchen and we’re mid-project with the living room fireplace. 

I took an Instagram poll to see what people thought about painting it and it was a pretty split decision. Which does NOT hurt my feelings at all nor does it deter me. I know what I like, I know my design style and this is SO fitting for what I’m envisioning. It’s the beauty of personal design. Getting to choose what you love. And I absolutely love hearing others ideas but at the end of the day- I like what I like. 

Our list of projects grows just a tinnnyyyy bit each day (if I could stay off of Pinterest it probably wouldn’t keep happening!). But I am SO excited about the potential and the vision I have for this place. 

If I could muster a little more patience that would be great- I just want to do ALL the things!
