It’s only Thursday and I am very ready to backflip into a jalapeño margarita. This has been the longest 2 weeks with temps in the upper 90s which is hot for NJ. I don’t know how you do it, Arizona!
We’ve spent most days inside because Paige is only 2 months old and I hate the heat + humidity. The girls have built forts, played play dough, and ran laps around the house like wild animals. But we’re having insane cabin fever and this heat wave won’t be over until never at least September.
I’m currently distracting myself by shopping Anthro Autumn goodies (have you seen their cute kitchen towels?! I have my eye on this one!) and planning out all the DIY projects I want to do this fall.
Speaking of which, I thought I’d make a little list of some of the things I want to do and we’ll see how many we actually accomplish.
•Paint the living room walls and trim.
•Paint the dining room walls and trim. We’re going all white, people!
•Replace hallways light fixtures. I’ve seen some cute Pottery Barn dupes on amazon! This one is my favorite!
•Paint kitchen. Do you sense a trend here? All the paint color regret.
•Replace kitchen light fixtures. The fluorescent square has got to go.
•Replace back door with slider. We’re going to attempt to DIY this. Prayers accepted.
•Paint trim in Harper’s Bedroom.
SO MUCH painting and honestly I could have kept going with this list because I can think of about 8 other things I’d like to do, change, + paint around here. I wasn’t really sure what direction to go in when we first moved here (I just needed the flesh-toned yellow to be gone, blegh) so we’ll be painting most of these spaces for the second time. Cue my husbands eye roll. Sorry, babe!
