Yarn Ornaments Made with Leftover Ribbons + Wrappings!

There is magic in the mess made on Christmas morning!! I wrapped our gifts with yarn again this year and it made for the prettiest set up on Christmas morning! I knew I didn’t want to throw it all out and of course I could reuse it through out the year but I remembered seeing a idea on Pinterest to make ornaments with ribbon or yarn! So I grabbed my pile of discarded ribbon and a pack of plastic bulb ornaments and got to work!

Yarn Ornaments How-To:

I did a really quick how-to on Instagram but it’s pretty self explanatory. You just pop the top off the the ornament (I got these from Michaels years ago but I’m positive I have seen them there since), and shove your yarn/ribbon in. Instead of doing one strand at a time I did 2-3 strands at a time so it was swirly and colorful. Pop the top back on and you’re done!

I thought it would be cute to use different yarn for wrapping each year and then make 2 or 3 new ornaments when the holidays are over. You could even add a small tag with the year on it. Cute way to remember the chaos of the day.

Christmas Day 2023

Joe takes Dad mode seriously and was in charge of putting together anything that had parts. Bless that man. These kids of ours make the holidays the best and the wildest days. We are just so lucky and so tired.

I hope you had a magical Christmas and wonderful New Year! So grateful for you being here. xx, Emma
